About Marquo and how we test it

Marquo is an iPhone app by {developer} for signing and filling out documents on the phone. This page lists what it does, what it does not do, and the tests behind the claims on this site.

Who makes Marquo

Marquo is made by {developer}. Version 1.0 was built in October 2026 for iPhone with iOS 26 or later. Questions, bug reports and corrections to this site go to {email}.

What the app does

  • Signatures and initials drawn, typed in a handwriting font, or photographed on paper, with an optional Face ID lock.
  • Text, dates, checkmarks and crosses anywhere on the page, with move, resize, undo and redo.
  • PDF form fields: text fields, checkboxes, radio buttons.
  • Blank lines and boxes found on flat forms, with labels read in English, Spanish and Russian, and Fill my details.
  • PDF, Word (.docx, .doc), RTF, photos, screenshots and camera captures as input; a PDF as output.
  • Add, delete and rotate pages; lock fields at export; a password on the PDF with Pro.

How we test

  • October 26, 2026: the document engine passed its automated tests on a Mac (154 tests), including signing, form fields and Word conversion.
  • October 26, 2026: IRS Form W-9, revision March 2024, all 23 fields found, typed values and a checkbox exported locked and unlocked (automated tests).
  • October 26, 2026: blank finding on three synthetic forms in English, Spanish and Russian, all three filled end to end, and six real documents checked by eye.
  • October 26, 2026: app tests in the iPhone simulator, 41 unit tests and 20 interface tests, including the sample form, autofill, signature and export checked down to the pixels of the PDF.
  • October 26, 2026: sharing a photo from Photos to Marquo in the simulator opened it in the editor.

What is not tested yet

  • Accuracy of blank finding on a large set of real forms. We publish no percentage until that test is done.
  • The built-in iOS tools on the same documents, which is why comparison tables say not tested.
  • Official forms other than W-9.
  • Dropdown lists in PDF forms, which version 1.0 does not support.

If something on this site does not match what you see in the app, write to {email} and we will correct the page. See also the privacy policy and support.
